Every car we've built, from the senior project that started it all, through more than a decade of combustion machines, to the electric race cars we field today. This is the full Spartan Racing lineage.
Current CarThe latest iteration of our electric race car, SR-17, continues the legacy of Spartan Racing Electric.

We competed in the Michigan FSAE competition with our improved car, SR-16. We placed 1st in Endurance, 5th in Autocross, and 2nd Overall. We also received the James Crook Unofficial Best Aero Vehicle award.

With full focus on our electric race car, SR-15 competed in SoCal Shootout FSAE twice placing 1st EV each time. At Michigan FSAE: 1st Cummins Innovation Award, 2nd Cost Report, 3rd Endurance, 4th Design, 5th Overall.

Last Combustion CarAfter over a decade of podium finishes, we retired our internal combustion platform with SR-13 as our last. Our Honda F4i and Triumph 675 platforms left us a wealth of knowledge, but we looked forward to a greener future.

During the pandemic, Spartan Racing Electric manufactured the first ever running SRE race car. SRE-5 competed at Michigan FSAE placing 1st in Endurance and 2nd Overall.

Placed 1st in the 2015 FSAE Competition with SR-7.

A group of motivated engineering students revived Spartan Racing by creating SR-1. Won Rookie of the Year. Since then, the team has annually designed, manufactured, and competed.

Spartan Racing's first car, SR-0, was a senior project developed by students. After SR-0, the team remained inactive until it was revived in 2008.
